The Gros-Morne will park will have an installed capacity of 211.5 MW. It will be built in two phases. The first phase, involving 100.5 MW and 67 wind turbines, is scheduled for completion on December 1, 2011. Phase II will require the installation of 74 wind turbines, and will be finalized on December 1, 2012. This major project will require three years of construction. In order to begin construction of Phase I in the spring of 2010, deforestation work was performed in the fall of 2009.
