The Montagne Sèche wind park is located in the municipalities of Cloridorme and Petite-Vallée. It will be built at the same time as Phase I of the Gros-Morne wind park in 2010 and 2011. This park, with a capacity of 58.5 MW and including 39 wind turbines, will be built entirely on public lands. Commercial operation is scheduled to begin on December 1, 2011. Deforestation work began in October 2009. In the spring of 2010 construction will begin on park infrastructure for completion by November 2011.
