Over the 20 years of the Montagne Sèche wind park operations, Cartier Wind Energy will pay the municipalities of Cloridorme and Petite-Vallée over $1.5M. These voluntary contributions are based on the capacity installed in municipal territory. Cartier will pay $1000 per megawatt (MW) installed at the time of the park's construction, and will continue to pay the same amount annually over the 20 years of the wind park's operation. These funds may be expended on areas within the municipalities' jurisdiction. Furthermore, Cartier will provide a visibility fund of $16,088 annually to assist local non-profit organizations.
